The Accreditation Advisory Committee (AAC) brings together respected leaders to guide the scheme’s standards, credibility and continuous improvement. Co‑develop policy positions, research and reform proposals that lift industry standards.

Strengthen the credibility and visibility of ATIA accredited businesses nationwide.
Who should Nominate
We’re looking for talented, dedicated people from across Australia’s travel ecosystem:

Retail & corporate travel agencies

Tour operators, wholesalers & consolidators
-
Home‑based/mobile advisors

Industry partners and specialists
Bring your experience in areas such as compliance, consumer protection, operations, technology, training, service design, risk, or governance. Diverse perspectives are essential we encourage nominations from all states and territories, business sizes and backgrounds.
What’s expected (time & commitment)

Meetings: Minimum of three per year (virtual/in‑person).

Attendance: At least 75% of meetings to maintain membership.

Preparation: Review papers, contribute constructively, and collaborate between meetings as needed.

Term: Standard two‑year term (see Terms & Tenure below).
Eligibility
To be eligible, nominees must:
Nominations may be supported by recognised industry organisations that share Scheme's objectives
Selection & Composition

Members are appointed by the ATIA Board following the nomination process.

The Committee aims for balanced representation across sectors, business types, experience and geography.

The AAC will always have a minimum of seven members.
-
Names and bios of appointed members will be published on the ATIA website.
Transparency: Final nominees will be publicly released within 21 days of nominations closing
Terms & Tenure

Standard term: two years.
-
Term limit: up to two consecutive two‑year terms, with eligibility for re‑appointment after a two‑year break.
What you’ll work on

Prioritising improvements that grow participation and make it easier for consumers to use the scheme.

Advising on regulatory developments affecting consumers and industry.
-
Identifying and addressing systemic issues from complaints and other data.

Producing joint research, shared reform positions, and practical policy recommendations
