Double Coup for BBOTR as it Lands New Major Sponsors and Airport Representatives on Panels

Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Tourism Board have joined as major sponsors guaranteeing bumper Beyond Borders on the Road (BBOTR) events in Adelaide and Perth which will also feature panel appearances from representatives of their respective airports.

Jonathan Cheong, Head of Aviation Business Development and Commercial at Adelaide Airport and Kate Holsgrove, Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer at Perth Airport will appear on panels and deliver exclusive insights on developments in their respective states.

Their remarks will compliment a destination update from major sponsor Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) supporting Cathay Pacific’s increased activity in Adelaide and Perth – including what is driving demand, what’s changed and why Hong Kong is back on the radar of Australian travellers.

Major sponsor Cathay Pacific will speak on its increased services out of Adelaide and Perth and offer insights on how to leverage these new services with clients.

BBOTR is a major initiative of the Australian Travel Industry Associated (ATIA) designed to enable it to listen to its members’ insights and concerns in person across more locations on a range of issues including how to attract and retain top personnel for the future.

It is also an opportunity for attendees to obtain actionable insights on developments and strategies that will be shaping the industry in the years ahead.

The Adelaide event will be held on Monday 28 July at Crowne Plaza, while the Perth event will be held on Wednesday 30 July at the Novotel Perth Langley. The first ticket to BBOTR is free to ATIA members. Tickets are still available to be purchased on the links below.

QUOTE ATTRIBUTABLE TO DEAN LONG, CEO, AUSTRALIAN TRAVEL INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION:
“The strength of Beyond Borders On The Road lies in its ability to bring the industry together - not just to listen, but to learn, collaborate and lead. With the support of major sponsors Cathay Pacific and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the involvement of Adelaide and Perth Airports, we’re taking these events to a new level. These forums allow us to engage directly with members across the country, surface the issues that matter most, and ensure the industry’s voice is both heard and acted upon.”

QUOTE ATTRIBUTABLE TO CATHAY REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER, SOUTHWEST PACIFIC, FROSTI LAU:
"Adelaide and Perth are important cities in Cathay Pacific's Southwest Pacific network. With the new seasonal service in Adelaide and increased frequency in Perth, Cathay Pacific will operate nearly 100 flights per week out of the region during summer. Connecting customers to over 100 destinations worldwide through The Cathay Group, they can enjoy Hong Kong as a destination or stopover.

“Having the opportunity to sponsor and speak at ATIA's Beyond Borders On the Road allows us to talk to the travel businesses that we collaborate with to make these additional flights a success. There are many elements in the travel ecosystem and travel agents play a valuable role. This event helps us to support and educate travel agent partners, just as they do us."
